Survive The First Month

I’m back with my silly back-to-school talk, you might think “here we go again”. But I think it’s really important to support the people who have a hard time going back to school and this is also a way to remind myself of the positive things about school and how you can survive the first month. I’m still a little in vacay mode even though I’m at school now. Let’s see what we can do to make the first month a little easier.

#1 Sleep Tight During Night

One of the most common problems during the first month is that you are really tired during the day and it gets worst at the end of it. There is only one way to solve this problem: Get some sleep! I heard from some friends that they still stay up till midnight even though they need to get up at 6 AM, how rediculous! Isn’t it obvious that you’re tired  when you only get 6 hours of sleep? I think it is.

My advice is to get in bed a bit earlier, I think you should give yourself at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Sleep is one of the most important things in life and especially as a teenager, it has been proven that teenagers need to sleep more than an adult. It’s not an option to ask your school to start later, because that's not going to happen. It has to come from yourself.

#2 New Friends

Do you miss your friends outside of school? Well I can totally get it. You may have seen them during the hollidays, but that’s not always enough to catch up with your friends. Although you need to remind that you may not see them till the next hollidays and in the mean time you need to spend most of your time with the people in your class and school. So you should better make some new friends in at school and rely on the people you already know.

#3 If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail

Most of you guys think there is no time left to meet with your friends or do something fun during the weekend because you have so many work for school… Actually, if you plan the things better and don’t delay your work, you will be able to see your friends and have some fun during the weekends. If you have a task it’s better that you make the task immediatly because the course material is still in your head and it will go a lot easier than when you delay it for a week. You might have forgot too much to make the task properly, so maybe you won’t succeed and that is of course not  what you want, I guess…

#4 Plan Future Plans

Speaking of planning, future plans are also something you can hold on to. It’s a fact that you have go through this, there is nothing you can do about it. Your education is one of the most important things to build your future. It seems like a long time, but my English teacher always says that it’s the best time of your life. I actually don’t believe it, but we will see!

Don't be a fool and go to school
