Flaming Love - The Addiction Never Stops

If you already checked out my post on the Meadow palette, you might know about wich addiction I'm talking about. I'm talking about Makeup Addiction Cosmetics. I already reviewed the Meadow palette, but that was actually the last palette they came out with and the Flaming Love was their very first eyeshadow palette. They also have a Vintage palette, but I wasn't able to get my hands on that one. If you read the post on the other palette you already know what I think about the formula and if you haven't checked it out yet, I suggest you to do that first. Without any further ado, let's jump right into it and see if this palette lives up to my expectations...

Just like the Meadow palette, this has also cardboard packaging. But other than the Meadow palette this one has a vintage print going on. On the front of the palette you see the name of the palette and the brand. On the back you can find the shade names, the ingredients and other information you need to know about the product and the brand. You can only see the shade names, but not the actual colors, unlike the meadow palette. On the inside you get a good sized mirror with "Addicted to your beauty within" above it. Just like their other palettes you can take the pans out wich is nice when you want to put your favourite shades in a Z-palette.

You get a great variety of colors and a lot of options with this palette. You get your vibrant colorful colors, gold and rosegold shades, a highlight shade, your burgundy and chocolate shades. Youcould create a look using only this palette, but  there isn't a matte highlighting shade and a transition shade. But I don't mind to use another palette to create a look. When I need a transition shade for on the go, I just take each from the Meadow palette and I'm ready to go.

You get 8 shades is this amazing palette, I'll start off with the top row. First you have "Whisper" which is a champagne highlighting shade, it's more yellow toned than the highlighting shade in the Meadow palette. Next up you have "Belize", it's a metallic sea blue. Then we have "Eden" wich is a rosegold shade. "Flaming Kisses" is a burgundy red color. The first shade on the bottom row is called "Goldilocks", this is a gorgeous metallic gold shade. Next to that one you have "Amethyst" is a metallic purple, just like the gemstone. The seventh shade is called "Savannah Desert" and last but not least we have "Brownie", this is a great every day chocolate shade.

If you have read my post about the other Makeup Addiction palette you already know that I love their formula. The metallic shades feel like butter and have a great metallic shine, wet or dry. The matte shades are a little stiffer in the swatches, but on the eyes they work pretty good and they are really pigmented. These are one of the best formulas I tried so far. Love it!

Eye Look

For the eyes I created this metallic rosegold look. To set my eyeshadow base I used my facial powder. For my transition I used "Sweet Peach" from the Meadow palette. Under the transition shad I placed the burgundy shade "Flaming Kisses" to warm up the look, I also used this color on the outer part of the lower lashline. To deepen up the crease I used "Savannah Desert". For the outer corner I used a little bit of the shade "Brownie". I also tightlined the lashine with this shade. On the inner part of the lower lashline I used "Goldilocks". To highlight the inner corner and browbone I used the shade "Whisper", this works also really good as a face highlight.

Overall Thoughts

Just like the Meadow palette I'm in love with the formula and the colors. If you're scared to use colorful shades such as the purple, gold and the blue shade, you can use them on the lower lashline for a subtle pop of color. I really recommand this palette. @TaylorD: I find that not enough people talk about this brand. Everyone should get to know this and experience the great formula. Thanks for your lovely comment!

@Nikia: Indeed! You can also create a nice fall look with the darker burgundy colors, it's very versatile. If you're looking for more spring colors you should check out the Meadow Palette! Thanks for your comment. ☺
