Stay Put Brows

Eyebrows were never so important as today. Everyone has them, but not everyone fills them in. It's a big trend now adays to fill in your brows, but not only fill them in, also create different shapes, styles, colors, textures, ... There are a lot of possibilities! You certainly have heard about the Annastasia Beverly - Hills Dipbrow Pomade, I don't own that one yet, but I will try it out one day. The Dipbrow is a little more up there in price, so I bought the Milani - Stay Put Brow Color, wich is a lot more affordable. Let's see if this product does what it says and how it holds up...

Claims

"Stand out by filling in, like a pro. Count on Stay Put Brow Color to deliver superior staying power with up to 16 hours of wear time, the perfect amount of brow color, precise application and intense definition. Choose your closest match or combine two shades to achieve the most envy-inducing brows imaginable. Dual-ended, professional brush included."

Pretty much all of the claims are true, the wear time is really good. I did my brows around 5:40AM and when I came home at 6:30PM my brows looked still pretty decent. They had faded, but I was really impressed with the result. Even though it rained that day, my brows stayed put all day long. I really love this product, normally I fill in my eyebrows with the brow powders in my NYX Love Contours All palette. I still like to use the powders, but I really like the pomade too!

Color Range

The color range is not that big, there are only 5 shades while the ABH Dipbrow pomade had a range of 11 colors. The shades Milani has are: Natural Taupe, Soft Brown, Medium Brown, Brunette and Dark Brown. There's not really a color for light blondes or our ginger sisters out there, they haven't even a black color, wich I find to be really strange. It also would have been nice if there was a grey shade. I got mine in the shade Dark Brown, wich is the darkest color. I bought this shade because the other ones looked too warm toned for me. This color is a tad too dark, but I can tone it down by using a light hand. But this color would be too light and maybe a little too warm for people with black hair. I hope they come out with more shades!

Application

They suggest too outline your brows, but this step isn't necessary if you want a more natural brow. I still like to use the powders, but I really like the pomade too! But what I love to do is first take the pomade and outline my brows following my natural brow shape, then create hair like strokes to fill them in and afterwards fill them further in using a brow powder from my NYX palette. This is my favourite way to do my eyebrows. The product is really pigmented, so what I suggest you to do is dip your brush into the pomade and then tap the exces product on the inside of the lid. You can pick this exces product back up when you need more, so there's no loss. I used the brush that it came with and I think it's a pretty great brush and you get it for free, the spoolie is a little scratchie, but I can work with it. Of course you're free to use any tools you like!

Overall Thoughts

I really love this product, it looks really natural and you can build it up to make a stonger brow. You can also clean up under and even above the brow with concealer to make it even sharper. I wish they had more shades, so this amazing product would be available for everyone. I thing it's really worth the price and you get a free brush, wich is great if you want to try to fill in your brows, but you don't want to spend extra money on a brow brush! It's only $8 on the Milani website, I bought it for €10.49 at Boozyshop. It's worth every penny, you can't go wrong with it and I hope there's a shade for you! Have a browtastic day and I hope to see you soon! Bye guys!
