Black and white never goes out of style. Winter, spring, summer or fall, it doesn't matter, you can wear it all year round. These are the two basic colors you must have in your wardrobe. But it all depends on how you combine it. You can add some color to it to give it a more spring or summer feeling. I just combined it with a light jeans to brighten up this look, a casual sneaker and neutral makeup to make this outfit casual but with a special feature that keeps it interesting.
I'll start off with the top. I'm wearing a black kimono by Zara. I really like the fabric of this item. The main fabric is linnen, that's why it feels a little havy. It's nothing too much. This fabric is great for spring. The weather during spring can be a little unstable, in the morning it can be really cold and during the day it can become rather warm. This kimono is so great for this time of year. Because the fabric is thick and keeps you just warm enough for the cold mornings, you can also clos the jacket with the strings and the sleeves are wide so the fresh air can get in.
Under my kimono I'm wearing this striped T-Shirt from H&M. I normally don't really gravitate towards stripes. Most of the time I take a plain T-shirt or one with another print on it. But I actually really like the outcome of the stripes. At firts I didn't think it would fit me, because horizontal stripes sometimes make you look wider. I think it looks pretty good, but I still prefer to combine it with my kimono or maybe a leather jacket. The kimono is the piece that really makes the look. It looks also good without it, but I like it a little more special.
It's an oversized T-Shirt with long sleeves. Oversized items are a big thing at the moment and I really like it. It is comfy and I find it to be really nice in combination with slim or skinny jeans, besides the contrast between black and white, this oversized shirt gives also a contrast within shapes. I really like that effect. I don't like to combinate wide with wide. I don't find it to be flattering for my physical characteristics. It can look good on some people, but it's not for me.
The T-Shirt is actually longer than you see on the pictures. It comes at the hight of the upper legs. I put the T-Shirt in the pant, because I found it to be a little to long for the look I was going for. I went for a casual sneaker, a minimum of accessories and neutral makeup. I just wanted to keep it fresh and neutral to create the perfect black and white spring look.
I went for this sneaker to keep the black and white theme going throughout the outfit. I bought them in a discount store for only €15.00. The kimono was a little more expensive, I bought this one at Zara for €89.00. For the striped T-Shirt I paid €9.99. and the jeans were around €30.00. I really like the outcome of this look. It's simple but still a little different. Let me know what you think in the comments down below. I wish you all have a nice day and I hope to see you soon.
