Today I will teach you how you can make a selfmade lipscrub. If you read my post "The Beauty Secret of Olive Oil" , you already know that olive oil can be used for multiple purposes like hair care, for dry skin, to remove your makeup and give you some smooth legs. Now we're going to use olive oil to make our own lipscrub! It's so easy to make it and it won't cost you a penny. If you want to know how to get smooth lips with your own lipscrub? Just keep on reading!
What You Need
What To Do
You just fill the jar with sugar and then add olive oil to it until all the sugar is covered in olive oil. Then you can add some more if needed. Make sure you close the jar properly. Put it in the fridge for half an hour to an hour, when the mixture is completely solid it is ready for use. It's only possible for it to become solid when you don't use too much oil. Since sugar and olive oil are used as preservatives it won't expire that quickly. But I suggest you to replace it after a month or so. But I use mine every morning and night, so it won't even last me a whole month.
How To Use
It's not only easy to make, it's also easy to use! You just take the jar out of the refrigerator and scoop out a little bit of the product with your finger, you won't need much. Just apply the product on your lips using your finger. Exfoliate both your upper and lower lip for about 30 seconds. Afterwards you can rinse it or just lick the remaining product from your lips. Since we only used organic products it is 100% edible. Exfoliate your lips even more using a clean toothbrush. After scrubbing my lips I also apply some lipbalm for even more moisture.
When To Use
When you're someone who often suffers from dry and crusty lips I suggest you to scrub your lips on a daily basis. Integrate it in your morning routine, use it at night before sleep or just do both. I highly recommand scrubbing your lips before and after applying and wearing a matte liquid lipstick, because these tend to be drying. Lipstick won't look as good when you apply it on top of dry and crusty lips. It doesn't only look better, your lips also feel better.
Exfoliate before it's too late
You really should try it out for yourself and if you do, let me know what you think.
